Nurseries News Round-Up – Week 15

Your weekly round-up of news from around our wonderful Golden Apples Family nurseries is here!

HOGGING THE LIMELIGHT!

The Appletree, Attleborough

The children found a huge hedgehog in the nursery garden! Emma very carefully brought the hedgehog in for the children to observe and they affectionately named him Mr Spike. Stephanie explained to the children all about the animals and read a story about Roly the Hedgehog.

MOTOR SKILL MASTERS!

Golden Apples, Haverhill

Our Cameo children have been exploring textures. Using lots of materials with playdough, the children developed their fine motor skills, helping perform important tasks such as feeding themselves, grasping objects and writing. The ability to accomplish self-care and everyday tasks by using fine motor skills helps a child's self-esteem and confidence grow.

JEWELL-BILEE!

Bluebell, Eltisley

The children enjoyed exploring the treasure baskets – particularly as they had been talking about the Queen’s jewels ahead of the Jubilee.

QUEEN TRIBUTE!

The Cornerstone, Martlesham

In preparation for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, the Cornerstone nursery showed off these amazing window sketches. On Wednesday 1 June you can join them in celebrating this once-in-a-lifetime occasion by wearing red, white and blue clothes.

BEST OF BRITISH!

Head Start, Ramsey

Our Jubilee celebrations officially started with a fun-filled week packed with lots of activities involving red, white and blue. The children thoroughly enjoyed all the different things we did, learning about the Queen and much more.
